DARK BLONDE/BROWNETTE #4 PONYTAIL NMIB

Here's a Mystery Doll for you! I found her at The Mid Atlantic Doll Show.I was absoutely Blown Away when I first spotted her and the Unusual Shade of her Hair!!! #4 Ponytails came only in Blonde or Brunette.I know of an Authentic Brownette #3 Prototype owned by a friend of mine in FL.This Doll is definitely a Mystery!!! She's on a TM body and in an R box marked Blond.Go Figure.The color of her hair is between an Ashblonde and a Brownette. I don't know if this is some king of undocumented Reverse Oxidation or a Prototype Doll..She is out of a massive Vintage Barbie Collection inherited by the collection owner's Son from Richmond VA.There was a pink postit on the box that said Original Owner.The Son didn't have detailed information and was new to Vintage Barbie due to the inheritance.When I got her the hair was in the Original Factory Set with a Braided Tail,tied with a vintage beige string.There were numerous Fly aways and I thought I could loosen the braid,tighten and reset.That unfortunately didn't happen.It was beyond my expertise so I sent her to Maria Michelle in PA.Sadly Maria said to tighten the scalp hair and tail she would need to remove the original top knot and band which I gave her permission to do.I really wanted her to be as close to her former glory as possible.Maria did a great job and sent her back to me.Now I'm listing this Unusual Beauty for your viewing pleasure and chance to own a Truly Rare and Unusual Doll!!! Her All Original Face paint is Near Mint.Just some very slight edge wear to the bottom of her lips,Brows and Eyes are perfect and she has tons of Smokey Shadow.One clean earring hole per ear,no green ever,lovely complexion.Her #4 Solid TM Body is Near mint.Just a scuff on her left shoulder,Usual factory mold lines at the top her her hips.She has 90% of her Factory Nail Paint.As I previously stated she is in an R Box marked BLOND.The top is Near mint to mint,the bottom has edge separations and marks on the bottom with price tag.She comes with a Near Mint # 3/4 R marked stand,Original Liner,Booklet,NM Zebra SS,Shoes,Sunglasses and Original Pearl Posts.Overall this Beauty is a True Rarity in the World of Vintage Barbie!!!  995.00 SOLD
